MUSEUMTHE UNIQUE COLLECTION ON THE FILM
"3mpc - third man private collection" presents in ten rooms a vast array of more than 1000 originals from all over the world, illustrating the international success of the movie as well as daily life in post-war Vienna. The most precious item is the original zither used by Anton Karas when recording the film music in London. Movie posters and all kinds of curiosities on the film are shown as well as Anton Karas' private photo gallery from his winery and the original cap of "Little Hansel". A highlight is the screening of a key scene on a cinema projector of the time. Listen to The Beatles or any of the 400 cover versions of "The Harry Lime Theme" and read in one of the 80 international book editions of "The Third Man"! The extensive collection also implements a documentation on the historical background: Occupied Vienna 1945-55.
